Meet Gene

Gene Rinehart is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 26 years of experience in the industry. He is the Founder and currently serves as the Principal at Strategic Healthcare Collaborations, a healthcare consulting firm based in Atlanta, GA.

Prior to launching Strategic Healthcare Collaborations, Gene spent twenty years at Elevance Health (f/k/a Anthem, Inc.), a major healthcare insurance provider, where he led initiatives to increase market share, revenue and profits. During his tenure at Elevance Health, he gained a deep understanding of the healthcare insurance landscape and honed his skills in strategic planning, provider contracting, and process improvement.

Gene’s expertise in healthcare management also extends to hospital administration, having worked for HCA, one of the largest hospital chains in the United States. He played a key role in driving managed care contracting performance at HCA in the Atlanta market.

Gene holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the College of Charleston and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Throughout his career, Gene has been recognized for his contributions spearheading execution and building lasting and meaningful relationships.  He is known for his ability to lead teams, drive results, and he is a respected leader in the healthcare community in Atlanta and beyond.
